The show has grown to one million square feet and over 45,000 golf professional attending, very different from the beginning years. Many of these items fill a dual role of being available at retail as well as available with custom logos as corporate and tournament gifts. In fact, the lines are becoming blurred as major online golf specialty stores now offer custom logo merchandise, and some have gift and tournament divisions. As a consumer, I always liked to shop where I know I will get the best service, quality, availability, and price and pretty much in that order. I think when you are shopping for a tournament or corporate program, this is critical. Some golf retail companies are going to lengths to become proficient at logo items beyond golf balls and shirts. Several are doing a great job of entering this market. On the other hand, there are thousands of promotional professionals who deal with logos every day and can work with you (locally in most cases), to make sure your product is exactly what you want, the way you want it and can that your order arrives on time. Some offer web site “company store” services for larger customers and golf is usually a category for these corporate gift product e-stores. Thank you gifts may be just the ticket for your clients whom you know play golf; however, what about potential customers that have become true prospects? A golf item with your logo can go a long way towards making sure you are the one they remember after seeing 15 vendors in the same week.
