Gotta-Grip was conceived, invented and patented by Walter W. (Westy) Foss. An avid golf enthusiast since childhood, he experienced like most us difficulty maintaining a consistent and effective grip on the club, particularly in adverse conditions (dampness, extreme dryness, extreme humidity, etc.) In addition, he noted little consistency in individual grips as some clubs are used more than others are and often in the case of utility clubs, may have different grip material. After much experimentation, research and testing, Mr. Foss came up with the right combination of grip enhancer along with a practical and efficient delivery system. Gotta-Grip of course conforms to USGA rules and is a truly unique product, in a category by itself.

In 2004, Mr. Foss formed a partnership with a Denver investor, William M O'Connell Jr. and began creating a manufacturing and marketing company to make Gotta-Grip available to golfers on a nationwide basis. The Gotta-Grip concept and patent extends to other sports, including tennis, baseball and racquetball.
